RANTISODE: MASKS?! bUt MaH fReEdOm!

Ah, Delta. Not the airline John Mulaney presumably hates but the COVID-19 variant that is spreading like disinformation in an election year. Although the risk is significantly lower for vaccinated people, surging and breakthrough cases have led the CDC to update their guidelines, recommending that even fully vaxxed folks mask up indoors.
Predictably, anti-maskers (which I can't believe is even a thing) lost their sh!t, decrying liberty and freedom violations.
“The mask policy is a massive medical experiment with unknown long-term consequences. That this is happening in the United States of America is unfathomable. Every citizen has a responsibility to resist this absurdity. I will not comply with mask mandates, and I urge every red-blooded freedom-loving American remaining to do the same,” said one Tampa resident.
First of all, no. Constitutional experts agree that mask-wearing is not un-constitutional FYI, if it isn't overtly written in the Constitution, it can't be "Constitutional." In fact, many reference the Supreme Court case Jacobson v. Massachusetts which explains why mask mandates "don’t violate any constitutional right to privacy, health, or bodily integrity."
One's individual freedoms don't supersede the individual freedoms of another. Every citizen has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and yours can't infringe upon the rights of your fellow citizens. If you don't want a wear a mask, by all means, stay home or stay away from populated areas.
But to take advantage of the benefits society offers, citizens must adhere to the responsibilities that come with citizenship.
Bottom line? You don't have a constitutional right to infect other people.
